I here propose a hypothesis that people engage in IM are more likely to reveal what is in their unconscious. IM, by its nature, has very short time frame for reaction. And I presume here that it take relatively longer time for conscious to censor its input from unconscious. Therefore there would be many cases which conscious simply don’t have enough time to react. Thus we would expect more truthful altitude from communication medium that has a shorter time-frame.
